I'm not very good giving criticism, but I'll try to let my opinion and sensation that I get when I see this... So beautiful, sad and hopeful... Like a little God or Wizard floating with colored wishes, crying colored tears, saying colored words, vagabond ...
I think this could be better in a deeper enviroment, and maybe more darkness around.
But, the expressions and colors here touched my heart, We want "feel" , we need that variety.
Technique and Originality remember a bit to Gustav Klimt, but is an excelent ref (or similar artist).
Technically speaking this work is pretty incredible, not only do you mimic a truly painterly style despite it being digital media, but you also have a subtle use of color implemented throughout the entire work. It seems like this was truly "painted", almost as if with a pallete knife, which intrigues me as to how you came to this effect. The aqua hue is adeptly placed in the center, to the left and right of the figure's face, and on her braid as well. This leads the viewer's eye effectively throughout the piece while helping unify the upper half. There also exists the effective use of reds and purples in this piece which gives it its muted feel.
The figure, the girl, herself seems to reflected a melancholic toned echoed by the midtones found in both her skin and cloak. The expression she wears is that of disdain. This becomes even more clear when one notices she is clutching her chest.
However, I do have some issues with the composition, the figure, being placed in the center of the frame, insists it is in a more portrait, or framed, setting. This is ineffective for this work in particular because the content of the imagery insists that there is more to it than just a picture of a girl. Because she bears the sad look, because she is holding her heart, and due to the unexplained nature of the floating boxes (and the title), this work has some sincere efforts at a concept, a theme. Personally, I think this could have been more effectively achieved if the figure was surrounded by more (or less, you decide) negative space. Negative space is a key part of any piece, and I feel like you aren't treating this piece with it in mind, sadly. If, for example, the area above her head was greater, and perhaps more dark in tone, a greater emotion could be achieved.
It seems the boxes are placed very pragmatically, a bit cautiously. They are all somewhat, if not entirely, within the girl (only one seems to break the bounds). It could be more interesting if there were some boxes in different places, and maybe different sizes.
Overall, good work. The painting style is magnificent, I'd love to see more works like this one in the future, they're really interesting. f the negative space around the figure were to be increased, and perhaps a few, smaller (hey, bigger maybe) boxes were thrown around her, I think this piece could truly meet a stunning outcome
this reminds me of how I come up with a dream goal and my mind comes up with a whole prjection of the future from its seed, each dream being its on dimension. never really coming to actual fruition.. i didnt quite articulate that clearly ;b.

We need colors between the cold
